Egg Digital has designed and completed a high key creative template for The Dax Centre, The Dax Centre houses the Cunningham Dax Collection, which comprises 15,000 creative works by people with experience of mental illness and/or emotional trauma, collected by Dr Eric Cunningham Dax between the 1950s and the 1980s. It is one of the three largest collections of its kind in the world.

The Egg produced a total creative package from designing a new corporate brand image through to a new website. We are now developing the second stage of the website which will feature a large gallery to showcase the collected works, exhibitions and an international connection of other organisations.

The Dax Centre has now moved to the just completed new facility at Melbourne University   as part of the Melbourne Brain Centre.

The idea for this project was very simple. It was to graphically illustrate the amazing cultural diversity in Australia today.

The candidates must have been born overseas, preferably in their country of origin. But this proved difficult in many instances just because of the circumstances of war and the displacement of millions of people in so many countries around the world. They did not need to have been naturalised, although this proved to be a uniquely common thread: almost everyone who was photographed for All of Us could count to the day when they would get Australian citizenship- if they didn’t already have it! They just needed to have chosen to make Australia their home.

The outcome of the project was an installation on the walls of the Crossbar building at Federation Square on Australia Day 2008. There was also a smaller show of selected works at Australian Galleries- Works on Paper- on the corner of Smith Street and Derby St Collingwood, and of course a large format book containing the photographs along with short descriptive captions. The exhibition subsequently toured India in 2009 and a follow up exhibition Indian Aussies began its tour of India in 2010 and is still in India today.

The photographs were subsequently included in TV commercials, radio ads, press advertising  and outdoor advertising, all directed and produced by The Egg. Following the success of the original website The Egg also designed and built a further site for the Victorian Multicultural Commission to showcase Australia’s cultural diversity.

All of Us was funded by the Australian and Victorian State Governments along with a number of private companies,  organizations and benefactors.

An integrated advertising and online campaign aimed at Year 10-12 school students to get a career in manufacturing back on the radar. At The Egg, we came up with the campaign theme including the campaign name and registered the URL: www.itsyourfuture.com.au We then designed an interactive website, and produced and directed a series of 10 TVCs featuring comedian Dave Hughes talking with young Australians about  careers in manufacturing. The campaign included a competition and regular EDM alerts.

Note: Although it was a government campaign, the then Minister agreed to allow the website to carry a simple .com.au domain rather than the usual vic.gov.au

An integrated television, print and online campaign for leading property developer.

Pearl is a high level development built on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin in Kingston, just minutes from Canberra’s upmarket Manuka. The apartments have been built to a very high standard with beautiful sculpted gardens, a large in-ground pool, and a gymnasium. The Egg was commissioned to build a new website and produce marketing communcations materials. This included a suite of 7 15 second TVCs , a 30 second TVC and modular print ads. The campaign was highly targeted following in depth research from Jane Seaborn’s TBP. The research gave The EGG a very focussed campaign direction and the whole project was completed in 8 weeks, including a new domain, Perfect Pearl.

The Egg has completed a major new website for CASSE, a new, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to eradicating bullying from the schoolrooms and playgrounds of Australia.

The new site was built on a simple, easy-to-use Content Management System  and comes with blog and email marketing systems designed for ease of use.

The program came from leading edge work in bullying- including the Columbine massacre in the USA- by American Psychiatry Professor Stuart Twemlow and his partner Dr Frank Sacco. Their revolutionary work formed the basis of the Australian program.

The eNewsletter program is now underway and proving a real success with the target audience.
