Michel Lawrence’s all encompassing All of Us project was much more than just a photographic record of the 200 + nationalities which make up modern Australia.
With its roots in the ugly scenes in Cronulla, Sydney at the end of 2005, Michel Lawrence found his answer in an idea which he believed would open people’s eyes to the true multi-cultural makeup of modern day Australia.
Photographs from the original All of Us project were used in television advertising and these were followed by a separate video shown at the MCG and Docklands featuring leading AFL footballers.

Launched as an open air installation on the walls of Melbourne’s centrepiece Federation Square by the then Victorian Premier John Brumby, for Australia Day 2008, it went on to have many other iterations and applications.
All of Us is a large-format 228 page book, several websites, TV advertising, press and radio ads, brochures and booklets, the official Victorian Government Multicultural Policy document and finally a touring exhibition to India…All of Us is the complete multimedia multicultural communications package.
A major press campaign was also launched by the Victorian Multicultural Commission. A part of this was a press campaign in 20 different languages.

A huge array of collateral material was also produced featuring the images. Above is an invitation for Cultural Diversity Week
